English in Mexico

A large portion of Shelby's TEFL training class are English teachers from Mexico.  Shelby has become close friends with many of them and, after we returned from our training, she wanted to have them over for some pizza and games.

My cuz and his family

We've just returned from an awesome three week training experience with the All Nations organization up in Kansas City and are now having fun hanging out with the Bucks.  David Buck is my cousin on my mon's side and he is visiting with his wife, Vicki, and his children Hannah, Dalton, Cole, and Fayth.

Your Goodness, God

I love my friend Seth Haines' new worship song (see video)

Lyrics:

Your loving kindness is sweetness to me

Your grace like the rivers that run to the deep

Your peace stretched wide as eternity

Your goodness, God

Your healing real as the prayers of the saints

Your sympathies rise like the breaking of day

Your temperance gentle as evening rains

Your goodness, God

You aren’t confused by the days of our sorrows

By sorrows you showed us your love

Your mercies are new in the morning, your mercies will come

We rest in the kindness, the grace, and the peace

Of your goodness God

Two Families on the GO

(Left to right) Louis, Bethany, Ken, Esther, Tanja, Shelby, Lily, Robbie, Jillian, Lori, Noel, and Silas!

It was great spending time with our dear friends, Noel and Lori Tugwell, and their great kids, Louis, Lily, Silas and Esther.  We had especially sweet prayer time with them as they are about to head off to Haiti in July and, with us in Albania come August, who knows when we will get to see each other this side of a Skype call?

There is a new section on this site with the heading "Pics".  This is where I will be putting our family photos, past and present.  The first few albums are:

Click above on "Pics" and then the album you want to see.  Some of them might take a while before they display as there are a bunch of thumbnail pics that pop up at first.

...by then it was too late.

Jillian had a blast at Camp War Eagle.  It was her first camp experience.  Tanja and I and our three eldest kids went to pick her up this past Saturday morning.  We had noticed, in some of the pictures we found of her online (like the one here) that her hair was looking progressively messier as the week went on.

When we found her at camp, Tanja asked, "Jillian, did you ever brush your hair this week?"

Jillian, "I tried to do it once, but by then it was too late."
